Volleyball Intensive Skill Academy (ISA)

WS Reign's ISA (Intensive Skill Academy) offers a 6-week progressive volleyball development program designed to help athletes improve their core volleyball skills. Athletes will work with experienced WSR coaches on skill development and apply their progress during scrimmages.

Skill-Based Groups
Athletes are grouped by skill level to ensure focused training in smaller groups with peers of similar abilities. Group placements may adjust during the program based on each athlete's skill level.

  • 7-11 yrs (K-5): Saturdays, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • MS/HS Intermediate/Advanced: Saturdays, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • MS/HS Beginner/Intermediate: Saturdays, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
• Session 2: 10/19 - 11/23/2024
  • 7-11 yrs (K-5): Saturdays, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • MS/HS Intermediate/Advanced: Saturdays, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • MS/HS Beginner/Intermediate: Saturdays, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Note: ISA is on hold during the winter season.

Cost
The cost covers the full 6-week course, including a WSR t-shirt.

• Middle School & High School: $375
  • $200 due at registration
  • $175 due three weeks into the course
• K-5th Grade: $285
  • $200 due at registration
  • $85 due three weeks into the course

Minimum of 6 athletes per age group required. NO REFUNDS UNLESS WSR CANCELS THE SESSION.

Skill Levels

• 6-10 Years Old: All beginners
• 11-14 Years Old: Beginners, Intermediate
• 14-18 Years Old: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced

Skill Descriptions:

• Beginner: New to volleyball. Limited experience with the game, basic skills, and no prior team/group experience.
• Intermediate: Familiar with passing, setting, and hitting. Has prior team experience and understands basic gameplay, some rotations, and rules.
• Advanced: At least one year of competitive experience. Skilled and consistent in ball control, passing, and hitting. Familiar with advanced game rules, systems (e.g., 4-2, 5-1, 6-2), and specialized positions like libero or outside hitter.

Within the first two weeks, athletes' skills will be assessed, and adjustments may be made to group placements to ensure each athlete is both challenged and comfortable.

AAU Membership Requirement
All athletes must have an active AAU membership (approximately $15) to participate, even for tryouts. AAU membership provides court insurance and is required for all WSR programs.
