All Elite teams are expected to participate in approximately 1–2 tournaments per month during the season. Most tournaments are within a 1–2-hour drive of Seattle. Most tournaments are within a one- to two-hour drive of Seattle. Depending on the team and final tournament schedule, some Elite teams may also attend one or more out-of-state events during the season.
Travel inclusions vary by team. For U15–U18 Elite teams, required athlete travel for scheduled team events is included in tuition. For U14 Elite, athlete travel for the Winter Warm-Up Tournament is included. Parent and family travel expenses are not included.
The following events are commonly attended by multiple or all Elite teams, depending on age group, division, qualification, and final team placement. Full team schedules will be confirmed as each event approaches.
These early-season tournaments are usually held on one of the two weekends before the Christmas holiday, depending on host availability. They are typically scrimmage-style events designed to help teams build chemistry, get early court time, and provide coaches with initial evaluation opportunities.
Winter Warm-Up is a multi-division tournament typically held in Portland, Oregon, the weekend before the Christmas holiday.
The MLK Tournament is a competitive multi-division event typically held in downtown Seattle at the Convention Center.
Regional Power League dates may include two-day weekends, or single-day events spread across multiple weekends. Locations are assigned by the league host and may change for each date of play based on division, age group, and placement. Play locations can range from Stanwood to Lakewood.
Teams typically have 4–6 dates of play between January and April, depending on age group and league format.
Teams that participate in PSR Power League may have the opportunity to attend the Bid Tournament if they place in the top 16 of their division. This event is usually held in March or April.
PSR Regionals is typically held in Centralia for U13+ teams and locally for U11–U12 teams. This event is usually held in April or May.
For Centralia events, WSR will try to offer a group hotel block, when possible, but space is limited and not guaranteed.
PSR Regionals is the final tournament of the season for our U10/U11 Elite team and is a great opportunity for younger athletes to showcase their growth, teamwork, and development from the season.
The Willamette Valley Classic is typically held in Portland, Oregon, on the second weekend in May. WSR will try to offer a group hotel block, when possible, but space is limited and not guaranteed.
This is the end-of-year tournament for our U12–U14 travel teams. We love using this event as a chance to celebrate the season, have fun, and show how far each team has come.
Teams will also have a fun end-of-season celebration to recognize the athletes, coaches, families, and team growth from the season.

Our Academy Club program runs during the core club season, typically from November or December through the spring. Some older teams may continue into June. Depending on the age group, Academy Club teams participate in structured in-house games or a local competitive league.
Our Academy 4v4 League is a 5-week fall program offered to athletes who are not placed on an Elite or Academy Club team. This league gives athletes additional court time, skill development, and competitive play in a smaller-sided format.
Each Academy Club athlete will receive:
Each Academy 4v4 athlete will receive:
These items are provided at no additional cost and are designed for comfort, team identity, and competitive play.
All athletes who attend Reign tryouts will be considered for both Elite and Academy teams.
Athletes who are not selected for an Elite team will automatically be considered for Academy placement.
Reign Academy Club athletes may also be considered alternates for our Elite teams. If an Elite roster spot becomes available, an Academy Club athlete may be offered the opportunity to move up.
Additional fees may apply if an athlete accepts an Elite team roster spot. Moving up is optional, and athletes may decline without penalty.
U10–U16 Academy Club teams will participate in structured in-house games at least once per month.
Games are approximately 1 hour long and are designed to provide athletes with additional competitive experience in a supportive environment.
Certified in-house referees will be supported by trained athlete referees from Academy and Elite teams. This helps prepare all athletes for regional and national tournament expectations, where athlete officiating is a standard part of competition.
If your athlete is selected for an Academy team, families will receive a welcome email with registration instructions, season details, and practice start information.
