Coach Hannah

Coach Hannah

 Meet Coach Hannah

Hi, I’m Coach Hannah! Volleyball has been a lifelong passion of mine, beginning as a competitive club player and varsity high school athlete before transitioning into coaching. Through both playing and coaching, the sport has taught me the value of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and perseverance — lessons I now strive to pass on to the athletes I work with every day.

With my years of high school coaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to lead and develop athletes across multiple levels of the game. Throughout my coaching career, my teams have earned many 1st place league and tournament finishes, experiences that have reinforced my belief in the importance of preparation, consistency, strong team culture, and athlete confidence.

As a coach, I am passionate about helping athletes grow not only in skill, but also in mindset and self-belief. I strive to create an environment where players feel supported, challenged, and motivated to continue pushing themselves to improve. I believe that when athletes are given structure, encouragement, and accountability, they can accomplish incredible things both on and off the court.

One of the most rewarding parts of coaching for me is watching athletes develop confidence, overcome obstacles, and learn how to compete together as a team. I’m committed to helping players build strong fundamentals while also teaching the importance of communication, leadership, work ethic, and resilience.

Volleyball has shaped so much of who I am, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue sharing my love for the game as a Head Coach with WS Reign. I look forward to helping athletes continue to learn, grow, and achieve their goals.

Let’s work together to achieve great things!

 Meet Coach Alli

Hi, I’m Coach Alli! I’m a proud Puyallup native and have spent more than 10 years competing in volleyball from middle school through the collegiate level. As a middle blocker at Central Washington University, I developed a strong understanding of the game, especially the importance of discipline, teamwork, communication, and leadership both on and off the court.

Even after college, volleyball has continued to be a major part of my life. I still actively compete in adult indoor and beach volleyball leagues, which allows me to stay connected to the game while continuing to grow as both a player and coach.

As a coach, I’m passionate about helping athletes build strong fundamentals while also developing confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that extend far beyond volleyball. I believe the lessons learned through team sports can positively shape athletes in all areas of life, and I strive to create an environment where players feel supported, challenged, and motivated to keep improving.

One of the most rewarding parts of coaching for me is watching athletes gain confidence in themselves and begin to recognize their own potential. Whether it’s learning a new skill, stepping into a leadership role, or building stronger communication with teammates, I love helping athletes grow both individually and as part of a team.

I’m excited to be part of the WS Reign family and look forward to helping athletes continue to learn, compete, and develop a lasting love for the game. I can’t wait to see what this season brings!

Coach Heather

 Meet Coach Taylor

Hi, I’m Coach Taylor! Originally from Iowa, I made my way to Seattle a few years ago, drawn by the mountains, the community, and everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

My volleyball journey began in middle school as an outside hitter, and I continued playing competitively throughout high school club volleyball — some of the most memorable and impactful years of my athletic experience. I later played two years of college volleyball as a libero/defensive specialist, where I further developed my understanding of the game, defensive systems, and team leadership.

Over the past 5 years, I’ve had the opportunity to coach teams throughout the region, helping lead athletes and teams to multiple 1st place league and tournament finishes. Coaching has allowed me to combine my love for competition with my passion for helping athletes grow in confidence, skill, and teamwork.

I strongly believe that fundamentals are the foundation for long-term success in volleyball, and I enjoy helping athletes develop the consistency, discipline, and game awareness needed to continue improving. Beyond the technical side of the sport, I also value the life lessons volleyball teaches — accountability, resilience, communication, and the importance of being part of something bigger than yourself.

As a coach, I strive to create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated to keep growing both on and off the court. Watching athletes gain confidence, trust their teammates, and accomplish goals together is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching for me.

Sports have played a huge role in shaping who I am today, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue giving back to the volleyball community through coaching with WS Reign.

I can’t wait to see you on the court!

Meet Coach Heather

Hi, I’m Coach Heather! I grew up right here in West Seattle and am excited to continue giving back to the local volleyball community through coaching with WS Reign.

For the past 8 years, I’ve coached volleyball at a local private middle school, where I’ve had the privilege of helping lead teams to multiple district championship seasons. Most recently, I also had the opportunity to help guide our first boys volleyball team to the playoffs, which was an incredibly rewarding experience and a great step forward for the growth of boys volleyball in our community.

I especially enjoy working with athletes in the U10–U14 age groups and helping younger players build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine love for the game. I believe those early years are so important in developing not only volleyball skills, but also teamwork, communication, and a positive mindset toward competition and growth.

As a coach, I strive to create an environment that is structured, encouraging, and engaging for athletes of all skill levels. I love watching players challenge themselves, support one another, and grow into more confident athletes and teammates throughout the season.

Helping athletes develop both on and off the court is what makes coaching so meaningful to me, and I’m excited to continue sharing my passion for volleyball with the next generation of players.

I’m proud to be part of the WS Reign family and look forward to helping athletes learn, grow, and succeed.

Coach Janie

  Meet Coach Jen

Hi, I’m Coach Jen! Volleyball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve spent more than 20 years coaching youth athletes in the local community. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with athletes across a variety of ages and skill levels, helping players grow not only in volleyball, but also in confidence, leadership, and resilience.

Recently, I coached middle school volleyball locally for 6 seasons, where my teams earned 3 district championships and 2 district runner-up finishes and throughout my coaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to help lead teams to multiple 1st and 2nd place league and tournament finishes in our region. Those experiences reinforced my passion for athlete development and building strong team culture through accountability, consistency, and support.

As a coach, I believe every athlete deserves an environment that is structured, challenging, supportive, and rewarding — with the right balance of discipline, encouragement, and fun. I especially love developing volleyball IQ and conditioning, helping athletes learn how to think through the game, compete with confidence, and push themselves mentally and physically to reach new levels.

My coaching philosophy centers around helping athletes build strong fundamentals, understand the “why” behind the game, and develop the work ethic and mindset needed for long-term growth. Whether it’s improving decision-making, court awareness, communication, or endurance, I love helping athletes discover how much they are capable of accomplishing when they fully commit to the process.

One of the most rewarding parts of coaching for me is watching athletes realize what they are truly capable of accomplishing. Whether it’s mastering a new skill, stepping into a leadership role, overcoming adversity, or simply gaining confidence, those moments are what continue to fuel my love for coaching year after year.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of the WS Reign family and grateful for the opportunity to continue helping athletes grow both on and off the court. I look forward to continuing to build strong teams, strong leaders, and a lasting love for the game.

Let’s get to work and make great things happen — see you on the court!

Hi, I’m Coach Janie! Volleyball has been a huge part of my life for many years. I played club volleyball locally in the Seattle area as a junior athlete before continuing my career in college as a libero. My experiences as a player helped shape my passion for the game and gave me a deep appreciation for the discipline, teamwork, and mental toughness that volleyball teaches.

As a coach, I am passionate about helping athletes become the best versions of themselves both on and off the court. I love teaching the technical side of the game and helping athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and game awareness. At the same time, I believe some of the most important growth happens through learning resilience, accountability, teamwork, and how to compete with confidence and purpose.

Throughout my coaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to help lead teams to multiple 1st place league and tournament finishes. Those experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of strong team culture, athlete accountability, and creating an environment where players are challenged and supported at the same time.

One of my biggest goals as a coach is to help create strong team chemistry and positive team dynamics while also preparing athletes for long-term success in volleyball and in life. I care deeply about my athletes and work to create an environment where they feel challenged, supported, and motivated to continue growing.

 Meet Coach Mariah

Hi, I’m Coach Mariah! I was born and raised in West Seattle and have been connected to the local volleyball community for as long as I can remember. I have played volleyball for 9 years, including 5 years competing at the National level for two local club programs. Throughout my playing career, I gained experience at every position on the court before ultimately specializing as a setter during my final years of competitive club volleyball. Those experiences helped deepen both my understanding of the game and my passion for athlete development and leadership.

Before joining the club coaching world, I spent time coaching high school volleyball, where I gained valuable experience helping athletes grow both individually and as teammates. While I enjoyed the high school environment, I quickly realized my passion was in competitive club volleyball, where I could focus more deeply on long-term skill development, team systems, and helping athletes push themselves to new levels.

As a coach, I specialize in working with U11–U12 athletes, while also coaching teams and athletes through the U15 level. I especially enjoy helping younger athletes build strong technical foundations while also learning confidence, accountability, and teamwork. One of my favorite parts of coaching is watching athletes step outside of their comfort zones, trust the process, and begin to realize what they are capable of accomplishing.

I strive to create a competitive but supportive environment where athletes feel challenged, encouraged, and motivated to continue improving. Helping players grow not only in skill, but also in confidence and leadership, is what drives me as a coach.

I’m proud to be part of the WS Reign family and look forward to continuing to help athletes learn, compete, and reach their full potential.

Hi, I’m Coach Masako! I played volleyball throughout middle school and high school in Japan, where training focused heavily on fundamental skills, drills, endurance, and plyometric development. Through volleyball, I learned the value of patience, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and building strong relationships both on and off the court.

My experience as a volleyball athlete helped shape who I am today and even opened the door for me to continue my athletic journey in the United States, where I had the opportunity to play club-level rugby alongside National Team players. Sports have had a huge impact on my life, and I’m grateful for the lessons and opportunities they have provided me.

After coaching volleyball at the Boys & Girls Club, I realized how rewarding it is to help young athletes learn, grow, and gain confidence through sports. I love being able to share my experiences while creating a positive environment where athletes can develop their skills, work hard, and support one another as teammates.

My goal as a coach is to encourage athletes to not only improve as volleyball players, but also to build confidence, resilience, and a strong work ethic that will help them in all areas of life. I’m excited to continue growing as a coach and to be part of the WS Reign family.

Hi, I’m Coach A’ja! I recently completed my final season as a junior volleyball player after playing the sport since middle school. Over the years, volleyball has taught me so much about discipline, teamwork, leadership, and the importance of trusting the process both individually and as a team.

One of the things I love most about volleyball is the structure of the game. I enjoy how every skill, movement, and position works together to create success on the court. That appreciation for the game has carried over into coaching and has helped me develop a passion for teaching younger athletes not only how to play volleyball, but how to understand the game as a whole.

Hi, I’m Coach Traci! Volleyball has been part of my life on and off since I was a junior player, and over the years I’ve developed a strong appreciation for the discipline, growth, and community that sports can create. In addition to volleyball, I also played high-level competitive soccer from my junior years through the collegiate level, which helped shape my leadership style, work ethic, and competitive mindset as both an athlete and coach.

I specialize in coaching serving skills for athletes in the U9–U14 age groups and truly enjoy helping players build confidence and consistency from the service line. I believe serving is one of the most important foundational skills in volleyball, and I love helping athletes understand both the mental and physical aspects behind becoming a strong server.

As a coach, I bring a straightforward, no-nonsense approach that athletes often connect well with. I believe in holding players accountable while also encouraging them to reflect, learn, and continue growing both as athletes and teammates. My goal is always to challenge athletes in a positive way that helps them build confidence, resilience, and pride in their progress.

As a longtime volleyball parent for the past 7 years, I also understand the youth sports experience from both the coach’s and parent’s perspective.  Meet Coach Kevin

Hi, I’m Coach Kevin! I’m originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Seattle to continue building my career while staying connected to one of my biggest passions — volleyball.

My volleyball journey started as a freshman in high school and quickly became a huge part of my life. I continued playing through college at Ohio University, where I served as both Vice President and Floor Captain of the program. Those leadership roles helped strengthen not only my understanding of the game, but also my ability to lead, communicate, and support athletes in competitive environments.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to coach athletes across multiple levels of the game. I served as a Junior Varsity Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at the high school level, helping athletes prepare for the next stages of their volleyball careers while continuing to develop their technical skills and confidence. I’ve also coached 16U and 18U club teams over the past several seasons, focusing on skill development, team systems, leadership, and creating a competitive but supportive culture.

As a coach, I value structure, accountability, and growth. I believe athletes develop best when they are challenged, encouraged, and given the tools to succeed both mentally and physically.  Meet Coach Ollie

Hi, I’m Coach Ollie, but most people know me as Coach O. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, basketball has been a part of my life since I first picked up a ball at the age of 6. From playing AAU and high school basketball to countless pick-up games at local community centers, I’ve developed a deep love and respect for the game that continues to drive me today.

For the past eight years, I’ve been coaching basketball, and it has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life. My focus is on player development, helping athletes master fundamental skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the game. I’m passionate about helping players grow their basketball IQ, empowering them to make smarter decisions and evolve into confident, versatile athletes.

As a coach, I aim to be more than just an instructor. I strive to be a teacher, mentor, and role model, challenging athletes to push beyond their limits and become not only better basketball players but also better individuals. Seeing players progress—from perfecting their first layup to understanding advanced strategies—is one of the greatest joys of my career.

My philosophy is rooted in building both skill and character. Basketball is more than just a sport; it’s a tool for teaching discipline, teamwork, resilience, and confidence. I am committed to helping every athlete I work with reach their full potential, both on and off the court.

 Meet Coach Nate
Hi, I’m Coach Nate. I’ve loved the game of basketball for as long as I can remember, and now I’m passionate about giving back to the sport that gave me so much. I grew up as a dedicated student of the game—watching, learning, competing—and eventually played at the high school, junior college, and NCAA Division I levels.

In high school, I helped lead my team to the state semifinals for the first time since 1970, averaging 18.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists my senior year. From there, I went on to North Idaho College, where our teams dominated Northwest Athletic Conference play and earned two first team All-Eastern Region selections. I averaged nearly 19 points and over 5 assists per game during my time there. I later continued my playing career at the NCAA Division I level, where I had the opportunity to compete against top-tier programs, earn starts, and post double-digit scoring games.

Now, my focus is on teaching. I love breaking down the game for athletes—teaching them the fundamentals, improving their decision-making, and building their confidence. I emphasize not only skill development, but also sportsmanship, basketball IQ, and the discipline it takes to succeed on and off the court.

As a coach, I believe in helping athletes find joy in hard work and purpose in their growth. My goal is to inspire the next generation to play the game the right way—with passion, intelligence, and integrity. Whether it’s mastering a crossover, learning how to lead, or simply showing up with a great attitude, I’m here to guide athletes every step of the way.

I’m proud to be a part of the West Seattle Reign family and look forward to sharing this journey with our amazing athletes and families.

 Meet Coach Lisko

Hi, I’m Coach Lisko, and I’m proud to be part of the West Seattle Reign family. Born and raised in West Seattle, I grew up playing sports through the YMCA and local recreational leagues, where I developed a deep love for competition and teamwork. Basketball became my passion during high school, and that passion has driven me ever since—both as a player and as a coach.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching in California, Indiana, and even Indonesia, gaining diverse experiences as an assistant coach, head coach, and shooting skills instructor. These opportunities have allowed me to refine my craft, adapt to different styles of play, and work with athletes at varying levels of development.

My coaching philosophy is simple yet impactful: Bring positive energy and focus on the next play. Basketball, like life, is about continuous improvement. Whether we make a mistake or execute perfectly, each moment is an opportunity to learn, grow, and get better. I strive to foster a growth mindset in my players, encouraging resilience and the pursuit of excellence on and off the court.

I am thrilled to bring my experiences and enthusiasm to WS Reign, where I look forward to helping athletes develop their skills, strengthen their understanding of the game, and grow into confident players and teammates. My focus is on cultivating a positive, high-energy environment where players feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential.

Meet Coach Pitt

Hi, I’m Coach Pitt! With over 40 years of coaching experience at every junior level, basketball has been a cornerstone of my life. From AAU competition to middle school, high school, and recreational leagues, I’ve had the privilege of coaching hundreds of athletes and witnessing their growth both on and off the court. Along the way, I’ve mentored many players who have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional levels, including the NBA.

My coaching journey has provided me with a deep basketball IQ, which I am passionate about sharing with the athletes I coach. Teaching players not only the technical skills of the game but also how to think and react on the court is what drives me. I believe in helping athletes see the bigger picture of basketball—how each play, decision, and movement contributes to their team’s success and their personal development as players.

What I love most about coaching is the opportunity to help young athletes grow into great people. Basketball is an incredible tool for teaching discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership—qualities that extend far beyond the game. My goal is to instill these values while fostering a love for basketball that lasts a lifetime.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand how dedication, hard work, and a commitment to improvement can transform not only players but entire teams. Whether coaching at the highly competitive AAU level, guiding younger athletes through their first experiences with organized basketball, or helping high school players prepare for their next steps, my mission has always been the same: to bring out the best in each athlete.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in fostering growth—not just as athletes, but as individuals. Basketball is an incredible platform to teach life lessons like teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. I believe that success on the court starts with strong fundamentals and a commitment to continuous improvement, both physically and mentally.

As part of the WS Reign family, I am committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where players can thrive, push their limits, and learn the value of hard work and sportsmanship. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching young athletes develop their skills, build lasting bonds with teammates, and grow into confident leaders—both on and off the court.

I’m excited for the opportunity to work with our talented players and look forward to another great season of growth, competition, and community.

 Meet Coach Tofik

Hi, I’m Coach Tofik! Basketball has always been more than just a sport to me — it’s something that helped shape my mindset, work ethic, and approach to leadership from a young age. I played competitively throughout my junior years and quickly developed a strong passion not only for the game itself, but for the strategy, discipline, and basketball IQ that come with it.

As a coach, I especially enjoy working with middle school athletes because those years are such an important stage for growth and development both on and off the court. I love helping athletes learn how to think the game, build confidence in their abilities, and understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and accountability.

One of the things I’m most passionate about is teaching athletes how to compete the right way — with intensity, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. I believe sports provide an incredible opportunity to build character, leadership, and resilience, and I strive to help athletes carry those lessons with them beyond basketball.

My goal as a coach is to create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated to continue improving while developing a genuine love for the game. Watching young athletes grow in confidence, understanding, and teamwork is what makes coaching so rewarding for me.

I’m excited for the opportunity to help mentor and develop the next generation of athletes and look forward to continuing to grow alongside the players I coach.

Meet Coach Kiki

Hi, I’m Coach Kiki! Growing up in the beautiful Puget Sound area, basketball has been a central part of my life since I first picked up a ball at the age of six. My journey as a player culminated in playing at Tacoma Community College, where I spent two years competing at the collegiate level and was honored to serve as Co-Captain during my time there. Those years taught me not only the importance of fundamentals but also the value of leadership, discipline, and teamwork—lessons I carry into my coaching today.

As a coach, my passion lies in teaching the fundamentals of basketball and helping young athletes build a strong foundation for success. I’ve had the privilege of coaching freshman girls teams as well as working with AAU programs, where I focus on developing skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game. I firmly believe that mastering the basics is the key to unlocking an athlete’s full potential, both on and off the court.

Basketball is more than just a sport to me—it’s a tool for growth, resilience, and community. My goal as a coach is to inspire players to push their limits, embrace challenges, and develop not only as athletes but as leaders and teammates. Seeing athletes progress, from refining their fundamentals to excelling in competition, is what drives me every day.

I’m excited to be part of the WS Reign family and to share my knowledge, energy, and love for the game with our athletes.

 Meet Coach Carl

Hi, I’m Coach Carl. I’m a proud Western Washington native, and basketball has been a lifelong passion for me. From playing as a youth through high school and well into adulthood, I’ve always appreciated the way basketball challenges both the mind and body. The lessons I learned from my coaches—about the game, mental resilience, and personal growth—have shaped my own approach to coaching.

My passion for coaching comes from a desire to not only teach the fundamentals of basketball but also to be a pillar of support and encouragement for young athletes. I take pride in creating a positive environment where players can build their confidence, set meaningful goals, and work diligently to achieve them. Watching athletes evolve—both on and off the court—is the most rewarding part of coaching for me.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in team play, mental growth, and character development. I believe that basketball is more than just a game; it’s a tool to teach discipline, perseverance, and leadership. My goal is to help athletes understand the value of hard work, celebrate their progress, and develop skills that will benefit them far beyond the court.

I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to the WS Reign family. Together, we’ll focus on building strong fundamentals, fostering teamwork, and supporting each athlete in becoming the best version of themselves.

Meet Ollie – Basketball Program Lead

Hi, I’m Ollie! Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, I attended Franklin High School and Federal Way High School, where basketball played a central role in shaping who I am today. My journey with the game began at the age of six, and I’ve been hooked ever since. From playing AAU basketball and high school ball to countless pick-up games at local community centers, basketball has always been a source of joy, growth, and connection for me.

As the Basketball Program Lead for West Seattle Reign, I’m deeply passionate about creating a program where athletes can thrive—building their knowledge of the game, enhancing their skill level, and fostering a strong sense of team camaraderie. I believe basketball is more than just a sport; it’s a tool for personal development, teaching athletes valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and discipline that extend far beyond the court.

Coaching has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Being able to give back to the next generation and share the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my years in basketball is a responsibility I cherish. My goal is to be a teacher, mentor, and role model, inspiring athletes to push past their limits and grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.

At WS Reign, I’m committed to building a supportive and inclusive program where every athlete feels empowered to achieve their potential. Whether it’s mastering a new skill, developing a deeper understanding of the game, or creating bonds with teammates, I strive to create an environment where players can grow, succeed, and truly enjoy the game.

I’m excited to continue working with our athletes, helping them grow as players and as individuals, and fostering a sense of community through basketball. Let’s make this program a space where we all learn, thrive, and celebrate the journey together.

Meet Jennifer – Club Director

Hi, I’m Jennifer! Born and raised in West Seattle, I’m proud to be the founder of West Seattle Reign (WSR) and to share my lifelong passion for sports with our community. Having played sports (volleyball, softball, basketball & soccer) for as long as I can remember and coached volleyball locally for many years, I created WSR to address what I saw as a need for a competitive, collaborative, and consistent volleyball club in the West Seattle area—one that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for all athletes.

At WSR, our mission is simple but profound:

To offer opportunities for as many athletes as possible to experience the joy and growth that comes from playing the game. Whether it’s through providing a competitive program for advanced players or offering assistance programs to ensure accessibility for all, we're deeply committed to making volleyball a sport that anyone can participate in, regardless of barriers.

Our club strives to recreate the sense of community in youth sports that many of us cherished as young athletes. We aim to teach our players not only to excel on the court but to develop resilience, teamwork, and a growth mindset—lessons that stay with them long after the final whistle blows.

As the Club Director, I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside a dedicated team of coaches, staff, and families who share this vision. Together, we’re creating an environment where athletes can grow, thrive, and achieve their potential—even when the match isn’t won.

My passion for coaching and guiding youth athletes is at the heart of everything I do. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing players develop their skills, build confidence, and create lasting friendships within a supportive and uplifting community.

Thank you for being part of the WSR family. I’m excited to continue building something truly special for our athletes and our community!
