Who We are
At West Seattle Reign, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive community where every player is welcome—regardless of race, gender, or religion. We foster a culture of excellence, emphasizing growth both as athletes and as individuals, on and off the court.
Our dedicated and experienced coaches and staff collaborate closely with players and parents to:
- Provide a strong foundation for early learners.

- Deliver high-level competitive play for those ready to advance.
Beyond the game, we emphasize lifelong mental strength and cultivate a growth mindset to empower players in all areas of life.
We prioritize transparency and open communication with players, parents, volunteers, and staff, ensuring a supportive, trusting environment for our entire WS Reign family.
West Seattle Reign proudly offers basketball and volleyball programs for all gender identities, serving Kindergarten through high school (approximately ages 6–18).
Player Perseverance Program
At the heart of West Seattle Reign is our Player Perseverance Program, designed to instill essential qualities that transcend sports: mental fortitude, resilience, and readiness for life’s challenges. Through this program, we emphasize the importance of:
- Growth Through Failure and Success: Athletes learn to embrace mistakes as opportunities for improvement and to celebrate victories with humility and reflection.
- Mental Fortitude: We teach players how to stay focused, confident, and persistent in the face of adversity—both in competition and life.
- Life Skills for the Future: By fostering habits like accountability, discipline, and teamwork, we equip players with tools they can carry into their future athletic, academic, and personal pursuits.
We strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where youth athletes of all skill levels can visualize and achieve success. Whether they are just beginning or striving to compete at a high level, our program nurtures their passion, helping them stay committed to their goals. Through shared challenges and victories, players also build a strong community of peers, forming bonds that encourage them to persevere together.
