At West Seattle Reign we strive to create a diverse community in which all players are welcome regardless of race, gender or religion. We maintain a culture of winning and striving to be the best people and athletes, on and off the court.
In collaboration with parents and players, our dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced coaches and staff work not only to provide a foundation for early learners, challenging growth opportunities for more established players and high-level competitive play for those that are ready but also to foster lifelong mental strength habits with a growth mindset.
We work to provide transparency and communication with players, parents, volunteers, and staff to ensure an environment of support and trust for all in our WS Reign family.
West Seattle Reign offers basketball and volleyball for all gender identities, Kindergarten to high school; approx. age 6-18.
Thru our Player Perseverance Program we strive to teach mental fortitude, growth thru failure AND success, as well as a readiness for life skills that we hope our athletes will take with them throughout their athletic and personal endeavors.
We work tirelessly to create a welcoming environment in which youth athletes of all levels can see themselves have success that gives them the drive to continue their passions as well as a community of peers to work through the challenges with.
To foster a community of competitive players, parents, and coaches that support each other with healthy feedback, and to have a positive impact on the lives of the youth we serve through our sports.
Hi there! My name is Taylor. I’m originally from Iowa, but found my way out to Seattle a couple years ago. The mountains were calling!
I started playing volleyball in middle school as an outside hitter. I also played on a club team in high school and they were some of the best times of my life. I went on to play two years in college as a libero/defensive specialist. I’ve been playing in rec leagues ever since.
Learning, teaching, and playing the sport will always be one of my favorite things. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that fundamental skills are so important. I’ve also realized just how important team sports were in the development of my character.
I love how sports shaped me as a child/young adult and I can’t help but participate in that growth for the next generation! See you on the court!

My name is Jennifer. I am known to my athletes as Coach J.
I stared playing volleyball before I can remember and have been coaching locally for over 15 years.
I enjoy coaching all levels of volleyball and feel all athletes deserve the opportunity to be taught in a strict, fun and rewarding environment.
I coach with the knowledge that if you give someone the tools and they have the drive, anything is possible.

Hi, my name is Heather. I grew up in West Seattle and am so excited to join the West Seattle Reign Team.
Although I chose to be a cheerleader in high school, I have always had a love for volleyball. I have coached for a local private school for the last 5 years and am happy to share what I have learned with the athletes.
I look forward to being a part of helping these young athletes reach their potential on and off the court!

My name is Ollie, I was born in Seattle Washington.
I started playing basketball at the age of 6 and never stopped loving or playing the game. I played AAU ball, high school ball, and a lot of pick-up games around the city at the local community centers.
I’ve coached basketball for 6 years and it has been one of the best chapters in my life. To give back to the up-and-coming generation, what you have learned throughout your life in sports, is the best feeling in the world!
I am here to be a teacher, mentor, roll model, and a person to push athletes to be the best person they can be in basketball and in life.

Hey Team, my name is Fred Lisko. I grew up here in West Seattle playing sports through the YMCA and Rec leagues throughout the city.
Basketball became my passion in High School and I’ve kept the game with me since then. I’ve coached in California, Indiana and Indonesia as an assistant coach, head coach and shooting skills instructor.
My coaching philosophy is simple: Bring positive energy and get to the next play! Every opportunity is one to learn from. Whether we make a mistake or execute a skill perfectly we have another opportunity to get better in the next play.
I’m excited to execute what I have learned with the West Seattle Reign and continue to improve my coaching ability and implementation of game skills with the program!

My name is Carl and I am from Washington.
I started playing basketball at a young age and played constantly through high school and into adulthood. When I played, my coaches worked to teach us the game and be a source for mental growth opportunities and support. I coach from that mind state and pride myself on watching athletes evolve on and off the court.
Coaching is a passion of mine and gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge of the game. My coaching philosophy centers on team play and instilling confidence in my athletes by teaching them to set goals and work toward accomplishing them.

My name is Jennifer. I was born and raised in West Seattle and am the founder of West Seattle Reign.
I stared playing volleyball before I can remember and have been coaching locally for many years. I created WSR because I felt there was a need in the West Seattle area for a competitive, collaborative and consistent volleyball club that could provide a supporting environment for all athletes in our community.
WSR is striving to create the sense of community in youth sports that many of us were lucky enough to be a part of as youth athletes. WSR hopes to provide an environment in which our coaches, staff and families can teach our athletes to excel and grow, even if the match is not won.
