Volleyball Intensive Skill Academy (ISA)

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

WS Reign's ISA is progressive skill intensive development for 6 weeks at a time.  Your athlete will work with WSR coaches on progressive skill development in all core volleyball skills.  They will also get the opportunity to scrimmage and put those skills in play.     

Athletes will be split by skill level so we can work more effectively with smaller groups of athletes closer to the same skill level.  Placement may change based on athlete's current skill level.   

Practices are indoors in West Seattle at 4100 SW Genesee Street, Seattle, WA 98116.

COST

This cost is all-inclusive for the 6-week course.  All participants get a WSR t-shirt.

MS & HS $375 per athlete

$200 due at time of registration

$175 due 3 weeks into the course

K-5th Grade $285 per athlete

$200 due at time of registration

$85 due 3 weeks into the course

Min 6 athletes per age group.  Refunds will only be provided only if there is cancellation due to low enrollment.

Advanced

Beginners level: New to volleyball. May have some experience with ball and playing with friends and family to some degree. Typically, has no or limited knowledge of game play and basic fundamentals. This level is recommended for all that have not had any team/group experience of any kind

Intermediate Level: Has had some exposure to volleyball. Is familiar with the basics of passing, setting and hitting. Must have had previous team experience of some kind (Club, school, rec league, WSR ISA course). Has general understanding of game play including rotating, basic positions, and rules of the game. 

Advanced: Has had at least 1 year of competitive team play experience. Skilled at passing, setting, and hitting. On average, has good ball control and can pass to target. Knowledgeable about game rules and systems. Had experience with different rotational systems as 4-2, 5-1, or 6-2. Familiar with 2, 3, or 4 step approach. Knowledgeable of specialized positions such as outside hitter, libero, or middle, and their role on court. 

Within the first 2 weeks, skill will be assessed, and athletes may be moved to different groups to make sure they are all being challenged and having fun.

Athletes may also be bumped to other groups based on capacity. Special attention will be given in these situations to make sure athletes are comfortable where they are placed.

Refunds will be provided only if there is cancellation due to low enrollment.  

AAU membership (approx. $15/EA); this is your court insurance required by WSR to participate in long-term programs.  You can register for an AAU membership at https://play.aausports.org/joinaau/membershipapplication.aspx.
