Welcome

Our developmental/competitive league offers athletes enhanced training and continued skill growth in a fun and challenging environment.  

We focus on understanding of the rules of volleyball as well as the fundamentals of skill development. Once our athletes have that mastered, we move on to advanced team & position specific skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our Sunday league teams will play games against our National travel teams and each other. Their season will culminate in a celebratory tournament at the end of April that will include ALL WSR teams!  

Our league teams will run from Nov 24th, 2024, and run thru April 19th, 2025 (Saturday tournament) and will also participate in our club wide end of the year celebration on May 17th, 2025. League athletes are considered National team alternates and will be offered opportunities to move to a National team if an athlete becomes unable to fulfill their position.  This is optional and league athletes can decline to move up if offered a spot.

League athletes in our League will have access to low cost D1 speed, agility, jump, plyo and nutrition training for $15 per session.  These sessions are offered 1-2 times per month throughout the season.  

League athletes will also have the option to purchase a Nike Elite backpack and other team apparel at National team costs.

TRYOUT INFORMATION

This team is a tryout only team. Initial tryouts will be considered for our National teams, once those are full athletes will be considered for our league teams. Tryouts for the league will run ongoing tryouts until Dec 1st, 2024, or until each age group has 24 athletes.  Each team will have a max of 12 athletes, and we will take up to 2 teams per age group.  Sign up for tryouts here.

PRACTICE & SCRIMMAGES

Practices will be Sundays @ Seattle Lutheran HS.  Practices will be 2-4hrs per practice day depending on the teams' age group.  There may be some adjustments throughout the season due to gym space, holiday weeks, etc.  

Practices start the week of November 24th, 2024.  

There will be a min of 3 coaches to 24 athletes to ensure that all athletes get a high level of attention. We will also bring in guest coaches to work with athletes on position specific and advanced teamwork skills. 

IN-HOUSE GAMES

Games will be played 1-3 times per month on Monday, Tuesday or Thursdays with WSR National teams. Games will usually last one hour.

All athletes on our league teams are required to register for USAV.  This will serve as your court insurance for all events.  More information on how to register is below.
